Rustic Melody Kindle Edition
Can a boy from the country and a guy from the city ever make it work?
Adam Chambers has never seen eye-to-eye with his father and is reluctant to take over the family’s property-development company. To clear his head and work out what he wants to do with the rest of his life, Adam leaves his responsibilities in the city and heads out to see the country.
He isn’t much closer to deciding what to do with his life when he arrives at one of Australia’s largest events, the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and meets Joey Callaway.
Since Joey’s father’s tragic death left Joey the family’s debt-ridden pub, Joey has struggled, desperate to turn the business around and give his mum the life she deserves. A break away from the pressures of running the pub is just what he needs, and a hook-up with Adam is the perfect way to forget about his troubles.
The one-night stand might just be an opening act. If Adam and Joey can follow the music in their hearts, perhaps they can heal each other and create a melody that will last a lifetime.

About the author
Nic Starr lives in Australia where she tries to squeeze as much into her busy life as possible. Balancing the demands of a corporate career with raising a family and writing can be challenging but she wouldn’t give it up for the world.
Always a reader, the lure of m/m romance was strong and she devoured hundreds of wonderful m/m romance books before eventually realising she had some stories of her own that needed to be told!
When not writing or reading, she loves to spend time with her family–an understanding husband and two beautiful daughters–and is often found indulging in her love of cooking and planning her dream home in the country.
You can find Nic on Facebook, Twitter and her blog. She’d love it if you stopped by to say hi.

When the story itself turns out to be so beautifully written and full of just downright real and lovable characters who you connect with and just want to hug and say "I know how you feel, mate, and It's all going to be okay." Well, to me it makes a winner of a book.
Nic Starr's first foray into self-publishing, to me, has been a huge success. The product, aside from the captivating story and the promise of more to come in the series, is excellent and a credit to her and her team, and that cover, with Adam, *sigh*
I loved the instant connection between Joey and Adam and had high hopes that they would connect and somehow get to their HEA, somehow. They are just two totally different guys, leading separate lives hours away from each other and tied to commitments to their families. How was is ever going to happen or survive?
A poignant reminder that love always wins if you follow your heart and take those chances. Thanks Nic for that reminder and for putting it into words to share and keep us all warm and fuzzy (even in the hot Aussie summer heat). I know I'll be rereading this one again and again, and eagerly anticipating the next two additions to come. I'm looking forward to revisiting those familiar places and meeting some new guys and hearing their stories.
Some may have issue with the Aussie slang but it's something minor and does not take away from the overall enjoyable read. Beautiful Story.
Me being a country boy myself and having a strong interest in country music I saw a lot of myself in the character of Joey- he is stuck in a life he isn't completely fulfilled with and then along comes the charming Adam Chambers to sweep him off his feet and bring some much needed joy to his life.
It's a great little story that will bring a smile to your face and help you escape from your everyday life.
I will definitely be reading the next 2 books in the series as I thoroughly enjoyed this story... If anyone can recommend anything similar to this please let me know :)
Secondly because it seemed credible.
Thirdly because the pace was right, not too slow or convoluted.
