Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, introspection, charity, and prayer for Muslims around the world. This year, Ramadan started on June 17th and will end on July 17th.

There are two ways for you to join us on reflecting on Ramadan's lessons for our family and community wellness.

Then, check out our newly released Healthy Ramadan Guide! Here's a preview of some quotes from our guide:

"Ramadan is the perfect opportunity to engage holistically in an assessment of our spiritual, physical, and emotional health." - Kameelah Rashad, president and founder of the Muslim Wellness Foundation

"The Quran inspires our lives as Muslims and as mothers. One of my favorite ayahs (verses), speaks of the wholesome bounty of the earth. It reminds us of the traditional way of eating, a way that too many families have lost as we work hard to provide for our children in other ways. Through this initiative with MomsRising, we invite you to join us in reviving the Sunnah of eating from garden produce and finding ways of ensuring all our children have wholesome and healthy meals." - Khadija Gurnah, White House Champion for Change

Feel free to share it with your communities - on social media, message boards, monthly newsletter, or just print it out to share a hard copy at your next playdate or family gathering.

Together we are a powerful voice for families.
